Dear Pridelines Family,
Today, I write to you with a heavy heart but a fierce determination. The recent election outcome is difficult for so many of us, a painful reminder of the work that still lies ahead. In times like these, it’s easy to feel small, to feel defeated—but as Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." This is our reminder to stay the course, to hold each other close, and to keep fighting for a future that is just, inclusive, and loving.
Pridelines has always been a safe haven and a home for our community, a place where each person is valued, supported, and celebrated. Now, more than ever, we are committed to deepening our work. We refuse to back down. We will continue to stand strong, to make sure that our community is heard, seen, and cared for. We will fight harder, knowing that our collective will and action are powerful forces for change.
Nelson Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” We are in this together, and with each of us showing up, we will achieve what feels impossible. Supporting Pridelines means supporting each other, our neighbors, and our friends. It means standing up for justice, equality, and dignity—values that bind us together as one community. As John Lewis urged, “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”
Marsha P. Johnson fought fearlessly, and her legacy reminds us that change happens when people come together in love, courage, and solidarity. Pridelines, like many local organizations, relies on the love and support of each of you to keep this spirit alive. Together, we are a force. Together, we can make the world a better, kinder place for generations to come.
Let’s rise up together. Let’s support each other, strengthen our community, and ensure that Pridelines remains a beacon of hope, no matter what challenges we face. Your support—whether through time, resources, or simply spreading our mission—fuels this work, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
Thank you for believing in us, for standing with us, and for being a part of this incredible journey. Together, we are unstoppable.
With unwavering gratitude and solidarity, Dr. Edward Summers, PhD Executive Director
