Positive Connections Support Groups

Positive Connections is a series of services addressing the needs and concerns of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Topics include dating, coping with HIV status disclosure, dealing with family & friends, staying healthy and more. The goal of Positive Connections is to provide educational, emotional, holistic and social support to those infected and affected by chronic illness, with a special emphasis on the HIV/AIDS community. Heterosexual Support Group

This group was created to address the needs and concerns of Heterosexual individuals.  Topics include dating, coping with HIV status disclosure, dealing with family & friends, and their support.  The issues of dating a person that is not HIV-positive, as well as dating someone that is HIV-positive are frequent topics.

Gay/Bi Men’s Roundtable

This is a very popular group, so make sure to arrive early.  Please RSVP as the topics are interesting, group is well-attended, and we have limited seating.

Spanish-Speakers’ Support Group

Temas muy interesantes para mantenerte informado, tales como nuevos tratamientos, nutrición, efectos secundarios, y otros más.   Todos los Miércoles para la comunidad Hispanoparlante. 

Women’s Group 

“WOMEN OF POWER”  This group focuses entirely HIV+ women’s needs, perspectives and power.    Topics include:  dating, family  and friends support, how to protect yourself while engaging in a sex, female condom, Women’s Health , and Women & HIV among others.

Newly Diagnosed Group

Topics typically discussed are:  When to start medical treatment?,  Who do I need to disclose my HIV status to?,  What does all this mean when I start to date others?,  and The stress of coping with being diagnosed HIV positive.

Sero-Discordant Couples Group

This group is intended to give sero-discordant couples (HIV+/HIV-) the knowledge, skills and guidance to negotiate an HIV positive / HIV negative relationship , and provide resources for HIV+ individuals and caregivers.  All couples welcomed.

Individual Peer Counseling

Available in English & Spanish via Facebook .  Positive Connections goal is to provide educational, emotional, holistic and social support to those infected and affected by chronic illness, with a special emphasis on the HIV/AIDS community.   

Positive Connections Lecture Series

Pridelines offers the Positive Connections Lecture Series, a monthly lecture/dinner series for people living with HIV and their caretakers.

Positive Connections Social Activities

Pridelines offers 4-8 socials each month, including trips to the symphony, musicals, and sports games. 

Positive Connections Holistic Therapy

Pridelines offers complimentary holistic therapy for people living with HIV, including Massage Therapy, Reiki, Yoga, Stress-reduction Meditation, Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, Healing Circles, Chiropractic Adjustments, and Sound Chakra Therapy.  

HIV/STI Testing

Pridelines offers FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL HIV & STI testing at our new Community Center located at 6360 NE 4th Court, Miami, FL  33138. Testing hours are Mondays – Fridays from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

Pridelines also offers Individual Peer Counseling. Available in English & Spanish.
